So quick and easy, you can put them in the oven when the guests arrive, and be nibbling on them 10 minutes later!

Serves: 6 (nibbles)

Prep time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 5-10 mins


  • 1/2 bunch of kale or several leaves
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/8-1/4 tsp pink salt
  • pinch chilli (optional)


  • Preset oven to 160°C (325°F).
  • Wash, pat dry and devein kale.
  • Spread in single layer, close together on lined oven tray.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the top.
  • Sprinkle salt and chilli if using over the top.
  • Bake 5-10 minutes, until kale reduces by half in size and is crispy.
  • Be careful not to burn, check oven every minute.
  • Serve immediately.


This can be followed with any amount of Kale, but reduce the oil and salt, as the kale shrinks to about half its original size and absorbs all the oil and salt. (therefore making the kale too salty and oily).

If these get soft, reheat in microwave and they will crisp up again!
